To whom it may concern,
Thank you for visiting. This page was written for hiring professionals, entrepreneurs and managers to review when determining if they would like to provide the opportunity to work with me.
I lean heavily on my awards and projects record because it shows my values and habits in action as it relates to the "art we do for ourselves"-Walter Anderson. Having worked with diligence and integrity I feel very comfortable mid-career. Completing and delivering objectives consistently and taking responsibility in my career is my baseline.
Leadership
I believe that to lead one must also know how to follow. The best leaders follow each other, always striving to express leadership through deeds rather that words. At the end of the day leadership is about decisions and acceptance. Acceptance of ones role rather than a need to constantly reinforce the position.
The best summary for the experience of the many backgrounds I have worked beside is that we are all worthy of acceptance and human respect. Having been in the position to review hundreds of resumes, then interview and work beside a diverse array of personnel with all of their strengths, weaknesses, origins and manner, gives me confidence in both general comparison and knowing how much better than me a great many people are at a great many things. Humbling and comforting at the same time as most of us will accomplish more as a team.
Communication
The more direct we are when speaking or writing the better off we will be. It is seldom the words but the manner in which they are conveyed that is meaningful in conversation. The best and most productive conversations we have comes from listening first. By remaining open in a conversation we can discover the best ways to solve the issues at hand.
Balance
If we are balanced in our lives, we will be balanced in our work. Like any relationship to enjoy the rewards we must put in the work and meet our obligations to others first. Work life balance starts with work and relies on trust in service to others with clear goals, boundaries and expectations.
Expectations
I actively seek new skills and wisdom from all sources. I am looking for the best fit for my life as I can possibly find, not a bottom line.
I will consider any position in any industry depending on the duties, how they align with my experience and skill and time of effort involved to earn any promised compensation. I am looking for meaningful work where I can apply as much of my skill, knowledge, and labor to help as many people as possible.
I provide now as a caregiver and must remain close to uphold my promises and family commitments. I will commute in a radius nearby and centered between Pensacola, FL and Mobile, AL for local positions. All other positions I am seeking are remote or semi-remote providing accommodation.
Summary
Thank you respectfully, for taking your time to read about me beyond the resume.
Please visit my Feedback page if you would like to consider me for any open positions.
Sincerely,
Peter Hastings
